The Noel Walshe Memorial Scholarships Students are Chosen
The two students who will be the first to receive funding for their scholarships from the Noel Walshe Memorial fund have been chosen. They are Miss Sarki Sherpa who passed SLC in First Division from Taksindu (Nunthala) High School and Nima Tenzing Lama from Junbesi High School who passed his SLC in First Division with 75%. The little visited Jebel Sahro Mountain range lies south of the Atlas on the fringe of the Great Sahara Desert. This remote beautiful area offers excellent winter trekking. The days are warm, the area is little visited and the scenery is wild and sensational. Just the right ingredients for a winter, Moroccan adventure.
From Marrakech we drive across the Atlas Mountains and down the Draa Valley, passing many kasbahs and red mud houses to the starting point of our trek at N’Kob. Our 10-day trek takes us into the heart of the Jebel Sahro range, passing small villages and magnificent rock pinnacles then on to a high plateau region. Here the nomadic Berbers graze their flocks of sheep and goats and live in traditional black goat hair tents. We have the opportunity to walk to the top of the main peaks in the range including Jebel Amial (2447m) and Amalou n’ Mansour (2712m), both providing spectacular views of the snow-capped Atlas Mountains. We drive back to Marrakech through the beautiful Dades Valley and have a full day to explore this fascinating city.

Hotel accommodation on a twin share basis (unless single has been requested) for the nights listed in the itinerary. All meals as specified. Single Supplement:
£75 (Hotels) £45 (Tent) If you are a single person booking this holiday you do not have to pay single supplements, if you are happy to share. Neither will you be asked to pay a single supplement if you end up with single occupancy because of odd numbers. If you are travelling by yourself you will be paired with another single client of the same gender. Single supplements are payable if you specifically request to have a room/tent to yourself. If you have requested single accommodation we will do our best to secure this although this may not always be possible.
